Online Business Development Manager
The Online Business Manager will manage, grow and operate several key direct to consumer business lines.
The overall objective of the role is to grow revenue related to product sales for core EMEA business properties.
The Online Business Manager will be able to perform key Profit & Loss activities related to these business lines including budgeting and forecasting. The role will involve execution of marketing activities such as campaigns, promotions and site programming, search marketing and display advertising as well as focus on customer retention initiatives across the following major Online Channels in EMEA:
Direct to consumer channel.
Online games of chance portal.
Other direct to consumer partnerships and responsibilities related to key partnerships.
The Online Business Manager will also own several key promotions or product launches from end-to-end.
Experience with Web Analytic packages and business analysis is necessary for analysis and campaign optimization and measurement.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow the overall business via customer acquisition and retention activities
Creation for and optimization of external promotions, programs and services for key Online products in EUR. Examples include search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, display advertising, co-marketing opportunities and social network placements
Provide strategic revenue guidance to key Online launch initiatives and assist in the prioritization of them
Provide business development and contract negotiation with key 3rd party vendors and partners as they pertain to marketing, content and revenue services
Relationship building and managing the support for these 3rd party relationships
Ownership of customer segmentation strategy and user communications including newsletters, alerts or other messaging
Provide guidance and marketing intelligence as related to new mechanisms, systems or competitive analysis
Lead in-house creative marketing team to create effective marketing communications.
Champion key Online Initiatives to internal stakeholders and upper management in the form of success metrics, strategic value and growth
Optimization of revenue for (1) new game and title launches and (2) existing game products
Education/Experience and Required Skills
Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or relevant in one of the following areas:
marketing, communications, mathematics, economics or statistics.
Years of experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in product management or product planning required
Minimum of 3 years experience working as a leader in business/revenue management, planning and ownership.
Extensive experience with analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst
Demonstrated follow-through on projects and experience playing a key role in product lifecycles.
Ability to drive internal consensus and common goals
Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas and global locations
Experience with managing lead generation and large online customer acquisition spend and budgets
Knowledge/Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of interactive and online media.
Proficient computer and research skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Omniture, WebTrends, CoreMetrics, Hitbox, etc.).
Understand website design, user flow and information architecture and its impact on the customer experience
Outstanding project management and leadership skills, ability to influence cross-functionally in rapidly evolving business environment.
Experience in advanced data analysis techniques and statistical methods, including data modeling, querying and reporting tools, metrics reporting, prospecting, business intelligence and A/B testing.
Strong background in business intelligence, analytics, and e-commerce.
