Our Australian client is an influential force in the field of Construction and Contract Mining and has been operating for over 45 years. The company now employs over 3000 people and has ambitions to expand further following recent project wins. The business is already established in Australia, New Zealand and Asia and has an annual turnover of $1.4 billion.

Responsibilities:             

Working on major projects for existing and greenfield mining sites you will primarily be responsible for the repairs and servicing of mobile mining equipment for these projects, which vary in value from AUD$ 100 - 500m. The purpose of the fixed plant is to process excavated material and you must ensure all site equipment is serviced or repaired to schedule or as required, providing maximum availability of equipment for surface mining operations.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Prompt response to equipment failures
• Completion of scheduled maintenance servicing of plant and equipment
• Fault finding on various machines, including crushers, loaders, conveyors, washers, treatment plant, et
• Ensure work is carried out in given time frames and satisfactory level of quality that minimises the chance of subsequent faults and rework
• Repair equipment per OEM manual
• Be prepared to undertake labouring duties as required
• Ensure OH&S standards are rigorously implemented

Requirements:

• Trade qualification in an appropriate mechanical discipline and not less than 3 years experience
• Extensive maintenance experience on fixed plant installations
• Able to minimise plant downtime with efficient servicing of all machinery and effective fault identification
• Motor vehicle licence to the required clas
• Knowledge of a wide variety of heavy duty fixed plant and equipment
• Proven communication, leadership and team building abilities
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work in remote locations

Remuneration

On offer is a very competitive remuneration package and excellent career progression. Basic salary AUD$ 130+ plus superannuation.
