Maintenance Superintendent
Location: Perth & Western Australia (Remote Site Based)
Responsibilities will include:
Working on major infrastructure and services provision projects for existing and greenfield mining sites you will primarily be responsible for managing maintenance teams to service and maintain mobile plant and equipment for these projects, which vary in value from AUD$ 100m to 500m.
The primary focus of the role is to provide maintenance services which will enable our world class client to deliver its project objectives. The role will be responsible for the management of all mobile plant and equipment, scheduled servicing, maintenance, procurement of parts, equipment availability, and adherence to standards and associated auditing and monitoring requirements.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Manage trade labour including sub-contractors on site including recruitment, training and performance management
- Ensure manning levels and rosters are maintained
- Be the designated maintenance representative at relevant Contractor and client site meetings and provide a focal point for issues related to maintenance
- Ensure that contractor and client risk management strategies and initiatives are met
- Ensuring all work is effectively allocated to workshop personnel
- Ensure formal documented inspections are conducted
- Ensure all project equipment registers are reviewed and updated on a scheduled basis
- Submit weekly and monthly performance reports as required
- Participate in all weekly toolbox meetings, daily pre-shift meetings and scheduled staff or contractual meetings as required
- Undertake documented incident investigations for all incidents and near misses
- Monitor all maintenance cost expenditure and equipment performance on site to achieve budget or forecast requirements
- Order replacements / spare parts ensuring lead times as far as practicable do not adversely affect equipment down times.
- Organise day and night shift operations to run efficiently and cost effectively.
- Ensure OH&S standards are rigorously implemented
Candidate Requirements:
- Holder of qualifications in an appropriate trade discipline
- High performance individual and team player with a demonstrated commitment to safety
- Have undertaken at least 3 years experience as a supervisory tradesperson
- Successful completion of Frontline Management Initiative or equivalent
- High standard of organisational ability
- Hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrate sound planning knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and communication performance
- Knowledge of a variety of heavy duty mobile plant and equipment
- Proven communication, leadership and team building abilities
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work in remote locations
Package: Basic salary AUD$ 140k+ plus superannuation and benefits.
