![]() Maintenance Workshop Supervisor x 20 Roles Ref : 29993 Responsibilities :
Working on major infrastructure and services provision projects for existing and greenfield mining sites you will primarily be responsible for managing maintenance teams to service and maintain mobile plant and equipment for these projects, which vary in value from AUD$ 100m to 500m. The primary focus of the role is to supervise all personnel under direct control, ensuring safe work procedures and practices are followed at all times facilitating the day to day project operations that enable this world-class contractor to deliver its project objectives in a safe and efficient manner. You must ensure all site equipment (loaders, crushers, excavators, etc) is serviced or repaired to schedule, providing maximum availability of equipment for earthmoving and surface mining operations at the most cost efficient level possible. You will maintain regular contact and flow of technical information to Engineering personnel in head office:
Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: · Manage the site workshop and provide leadership for workshop personnel · Co-ordinate all plant maintenance, servicing and repair activities to optimise operation of the project fleet. · Liaise with the Project Superintendent on daily and weekly work priorities · Liaise with external providers as required · Supervise sub contractors and maintenance personnel on site and ensure that appropriate manning levels are maintained · Monitor, control and report all cost expenditures to achieve budget & forecast · Maintain stocks of fuel, lubricants and spares at appropriate levels. · Reduce waste and consumption of resources (materials, fuel and energy), and optimise recovery and recycling as opposed to disposal, where possible · Ensure OH&S standards are rigorously implemented
Requirements:
· Trade qualification in an appropriate mechanical discipline and not less than 3 years’ experience in a trades supervisory role · Motor vehicle licence to the required class · Knowledge of a variety of heavy duty mobile plant and equipment · Proven communication, leadership and team building abilities · Computer literacy · Ability to work in remote locations
