Our Australian client is an influential force in the field of Construction and Contract Mining and has been operating for over 45 years. Responsibilities:             

Working on major infrastructure and services provision projects for existing and greenfield mining sites you will primarily be responsible for supervising maintenance teams to service and maintain heavy mobile plant and equipment for these projects, which vary in value from AUD$ 100m to 500m. Mobile plant will include, among others, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu and similar. The primary focus of the role is to ensure all site equipment is serviced or repaired to schedule, providing maximum availability of equipment for production operations at the most cost efficient level possible.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Ensure the workforce inclusive of sub-contractors understand the importance of compliance to contractor and client policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all personnel under your direct control are supervised at all times and that such personnel only undertake tasks for which they have been appropriately trained and deemed competent.
• Ensure all maintenance work objectives are safely met, providing the maximum availability of equipment to meet the project requirements
• Ensure work plans and schedules are adhered to where necessary liaising with the principal client and other contractors
• Encourage all employees and sub-contractors to participate in HSE activities that promote and foster a positive safety culture

Requirements:

• Trade qualification in an appropriate mechanical discipline and not less than 3 years experience in a trades supervisory role
• Motor vehicle licence to the required class
• Knowledge of a variety of heavy duty mobile or fixed plant and equipment (as appropriate)
• Proven communication, leadership and team building abilities
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work in remote locations

Remuneration

On offer is a very competitive remuneration package and excellent career progression.  Basic salary AUD$ 130k+ plus superannuation and benefits.
