Responsibilities
The Operations Project Administrator supports Project Managers in project creation, management, and closure
Reviews, releases, and administers projects to ensure valid structures and documentation from project start up through closure and to help the PMs achieve higher levels of efficiency
Coordinates financial and project reporting (both retrospective and forward looking in nature) to Project Managers and Senior Management and distributes weekly/monthly reports, ensuring complete and accurate reporting Provides direct support to Practice Leaders and Project Managers, including periodic reports, facilitation of financial information (forecasts, audits, accruals, deferrals), and other administrative support functions
Invoices according to procedure to ensure correct, complete, and timely billing
Provides centralized support for field personnel
Works with internal and external customers
Skills and Experience Required
BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, a technical field, management or equivalent
Three years experience in project controls support role required
Knowledge and proven experience with principles and guidelines of project management
Procedure/instruction writing experience and technical writing experience preferred
Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) an advantage
MS Project and SAP proficiency an advantage
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Experience in managing small projects
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Should be familiar with other Microsoft programs including PowerPoint and Access.
Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to work well under pressure
